The idea of a supermarket safari from my standing is to simply take a paying client who is looking at making some serious lifestyle changes but doesn’t know how much their nutrition can influence their results and its to teach them basic ideas to help the learn more and make more correct decisions rather than incorrect ones when shopping by themselves in the future.
I know as only qualified certificate 3 and 4 we aren’t allowed to prescribe diets ect however this is more of a coaching idea to help build my clients nutrition knowledge. Simply what I do is one of their session, as early as possible in their training program with me I take them to coles and get them to go around the supermarket and show me things that they like or would think would be healthy then get them to focus on the sodium, fats and carbs(sugars) column per 100g. this works brilliantly for things like juice and yoghurts. Then when they have read these labels a few times and got used to the things to look for with a bit of talking through it I show them things that a lot of people in the society perceive as healthy such as rice cakes and everything.

|

On Saturday 23rd of October 2010 Essential Health and fitness held a fundraiser for the breast cancer foundation and for a little girl Mikayla Francis who was diagnosed with a rare form of lung and liver cancer.
The day consisted of many fun games for kids and adults alike, to join in and have fun with a bbq and many hampers and gifts to raffle off. It was a rainy and stormy day but that didn’t stop people from attending and helping out to raise funds for this special cause.

Craniosacral Therapy @ The Lyttle Difference |
|

Arguably superior to the violent 'cracking' of Chiropractors, the cranial rhythm is thought (and recently proven through N.A.S.A.) to be an underlying rhythm or pulse (much like the tide in the ocean, but in and out, about 12 times per minute) that govern the body's soft and hard tissues.
Craniosacral Therapy is the art of reading this wave like motion to understand the position of the body, seeing with your fingers and hands where and what is tight and 'out'. Whilst reading the torsion and tensions it is quite easy and pain-less to align the misplaced bones.

5 Tips to a Killer Bootcamp By Kyle (“The Colonel”) Tyrrell, CEO Blast Fitness |
|

Bootcamps are everywhere!! They come in all shapes and sizes, and represent great value for our clients and massive earning portential for ourselves, but how do we stand out from the crowd? Here are my top tips for conducting a killer bootcamp that will have your clients raving!
1. Provide an Experience - When I teach Personal Trainers I often hear them say that their clients want results. I think this is only partially true, while most clients do want results from their training, the reality is that it is a bit more complex than that… clients will generally want more than just results, for example they may want support, a social outlet, an escape, etc. By it's very nature when you offer a Bootcamp you are offering an “experience” as well as results. You need to clearly define and then deliver this “experience” and you need to ensure that it is unique.
2. Be Authentic - Whilst people are seeking an “experience” the vast majority want it to be authentic! If you haven't got real military experience please don't put on the “drill sergeant” performance, not only is it embarrassing for you (and your clients) but you're highly likely to get it wrong! Remember that your clients want an “experience” not a performance! Be honest about who and what you are, do your research into the methods used by the military and deliver an authentic experience inspired by your research!
